Sensitive Teeth


At least one in seven adults suffers from sensitive teeth, mainly in response to hot or cold foods.

These factors can contribute to tooth sensitivity:

  • brushing too hard or using a toothbrush with hard bristles
  • sugary and acidic foods and drinks
  • teeth grinding
  • dental cleanings or treatments

Here are some ways to help prevent sensitivity:
  • brush and floss your teeth twice a day to prevent gum loss
  • brush gently and use a toothbrush with soft bristles
  • avoid acidic foods and drinks
